In September we did some fun things and I took LOTS of pictures. I can't figure out how to get them in the right order so I will just "narrate" as I go along.

| Lance had a conference in St. George so we pulled the kids out of school for a couple of days and went down with him. It was perfect weather for the most part. Not too hot, not to cold. Me and the kids had a great time checking out the various local attractions around St. George but of course Lance was stuck in boring meetings most of the time. One day I took the kids to Sand Hollow and one of the first things we saw with this turkey vulture picking at a dead fish on the shoreline. It let us get pretty close to take this picture. On the last day we had some time to kill together before we went to dinner with Joel and Ruth so we went over to the St. George Temple and walked around the grounds and took pictures. I am teaching the kids how to use my by camera and the basics of photography. Hannah took this picture of Lance and I! |

| This is my favorite angle for taking pictures of kids (and even adults). It just makes a nice composition and makes just about everybody's face look good. |
| Another picture from Sand Hollow on top - the kids LOVED it there and had so much fun in the sand and water. The bottom pic is from the splash pad city center of St. George. It was fun for a while but the kids got bored pretty quick. |
| Picture 1 and 4 are from the Activity Day girls Daddy Daughter night that I put together here in the ward. I have very fond memories of Daddy Daughter nights with my dad and so I wanted to be sure these girls have that memory. The second pic is Asher waiting for he melted cheese to come out of the oven. Watching the cheese bubble. The third photo is Hannah getting to hold a baby parrot at the State Fair. It was the highlight of the summer for her. The 5th picture is from the school Fall Carnival. I did a photo booth for the carnival. It was a long night but the booth was pretty popular. |
| We tried to do family pictures with a tripod in Jake and Carolyn's pit. Some of them turned out good but it is really hard to do your own photos. Jake tried to help out with the camera but he struggles with my "fancy" camera and framing the photos how I like them composed. We will have to try again with Missy one of these days. |
| More pictures from St. George: breakfast at the Bear Paw, red sand, not to impressed with the dinosaur tracks museum, and splashing in the hotel pool. |
| Asher at Thanksgiving Point on a special Mommy and Asher day before he started kindergarten, Jax is very loved by the kids - not so much but the parents (he is extremely naughty!). We got to see Liberty Rose Zeller in the hospital! We love her already. |
| Asher scoring one of many goals this season, Hannah doing her free ride at the State Fair, awesome big bubbles at the State Fair and me and the girl enjoying a lemonade at the State Fair. |
| The first picture is of Gizmo giving me kisses. He came to live at our house for a while because his owner was getting double knee replacements. She ended up taking him back after about a month because her surgery was postponed and she missed him really a lot. It took some serious coordination having three dogs so I am glad he is back with his owner but he was such a sweet dog that I really miss him. I wish we could exchange him for Jax! (Don't tell JJ that though). Me and Asher went to Gardner Village with Missy one afternoon and of course we had to sample the fudge. My fave? dark chocolate salted carmel - heaven in the palm of my hand. Isn't Libby cute! |

| Just a few more pictures from St. George. It was a great trip! |
