"NO WAY!!"
That was the theme of this year's Christmas card photo session. Asher was being about as "two" as he could possibly get -- absolutely, positively without any shadow of a doubt refusing to cooperate with Sara and I when we were trying to take pictures of the kids. We tried bribery. We tried threats. We tried distractions. We failed miserably.

I guess all parent's probably go through this, but with the other two hams, we haven't had so many issues before. Oh sure, they would have their moments, but not the ENTIRE time! JJ and Hannah were good about it, although they also got tired of sitting/standing still while Asher screamed at the top of his lungs and tried to run away (we were trying to take pictures at the railroad station and around some of the old buildings on State Street, so I am sure people were thinking we were torturing the child).
So when you see the picture, you will understand the tears and "frosted" upper lip (yeah, my sleeve was covered in snot before we got halfway done).
Oh the other hand, the Christmas tree looks really nice. Sara wanted to go with a more planned approach this year rather than the usual “let’s open the box and see what jumps out at the Christmas tree” look that I normally strive for.

I feel your pain, little stinkers. Ethan refuses to make eye contact or smile when I get out the camera. I used to get out the mini dvd and that was the only way I could get him to hold still and smile- but he broke it, so now it's a nightmare every time. They're cute even if they're pouty ;)
Sara,
Just got your card today. It was so fun to learn about your family and see your cute kids. Thanks for the blog info. I will love getting to know you and your family better. I don't have a blog, but I am concidering it. I will let you know if it ever happens. Thanks for being the awesome person you are. Take care,
Jenn Cox
O.k. How funny! I just looked over some of your other posts. All of a sudden there was Brian's (my hubby) cousin. Melissa Carter is Brian's cousin. We are all connected somehow. Next time you see her tell her hi from us up north.
Bye,
Jenn
Sara
It was fun to get your Christmas letter. I have the picture you sent last year on my fridge. It fun to see how your kids have changed. I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she is doing better. Tell her Hi and I love her and i am thinking of her. I was looking at your blog. It is fun to see Holly and her hubby. And that's so great to hear about Charlie getting married again. I remember your mom telling me that he was dating someone. And that one of his girls was not very happy about it. I hope that it is better with her and her dad. I am sure that her mom would want her dad to be happy and not alone till they could be to gether again. Well I am so happy to hear you have a blog. I will have to keep and eye on it and Holly's. If you get on my blog there are links to all my kids Amanda is are bloger in the family her's is alway up to date. Well I hope you have a Great A Merry Christmas!! Sue
